Summary

Semaphore, north of the jetty. People can be seen walking along the jetty on the extreme right of the photograph. Amusement tents line the foreshore. Many people are enjoying the beach at low tide. Dense clumps of seaweed fill the beach north of the jetty. The newly built Semaphore Palais can be seen in the distance. This building hosted a kiosk, bathing pavilion and dance hall.
